Langtang hiking the valley of glaciers’ Langtang is the closest trekking destination from Kathmandu, and walking through the valley offers great opportunity to see the picturesque Himalayan ranges, while also enjoying the feel of the off-the-beaten-track as the hike follows through the most remote and unpopulated areas of Nepal. The hike promises the stroll of the lifetime passing by the swift mountain streams, rugged rocks, lovely pasture lands, meadows strewn with daisies and wild animals all looked upon by the spectacular Langtang ranges on the backdrop.
A few hours’ drive from Kathmandu to Syabru Bensi commences our journey
of Langtang hiking trail. Passing along the dense oak & rhododendron forests and even the glacial moraine at places, we make it to the popular Tamang village of Langtang.
We extend the hike by staying overnight at Kyanjin Gompa, a great place to try local yak cheese.
Further up, we move through Nubamatang, settled in a hidden valley, on our way up to see the glaciers, which is also a gateway to Tibet.
We at Skyline can arrange for a ‘Tamang Heritage Trail’ anytime in a year; if the itinerary below isn’t what you wish for. We can still customize the trip as per your need, so please feel free to get in touch with us. We never fail to offer our clients with the best possible trekking packages.
