Ganesh Himal trek starts from Trisuli west of Kathmandu. Trisuli can be reached from Kathmandu overland. At Nuwakot the palace of late Prithvi Narayan Shah is situated, the first Shah king of the present ruling dynasty. Trisuli is a small town. The name Trisuli comes from the river Trisuli. Due to its fast flow Trisuli river is famous for rafting. Along the trail one can find different trees and green woods, passing through Tamang, Gurung & Bramins villages....... |

The trek really starts from Chautara. Chautara is the district headquarter of Sindhupalchok District. The trek first passes through a village and then all the way it is forests. The off the beaten trails to Panch Pokhari ( five ponds) situated at 4050m. Recommends excellent hike through beautiful forests mainly bamboo, pine and other evergreen forests with glorious views of Gauri Shanker, Langtang, Dorje Lakpa, Jugal Himal ... |

It is designed for those who wish to experience this region without ascending to high altitude. Entry to the Khumbu is by air into the airstrip at Lukla, and from here we follow the route of the Base Camp trek to Tengboche monastery. From here we obtain breathtaking views of Everest as it rises above the Lhotse-Nuptse ridge, as well as a superb view of one of Nepal's most beautiful mountains, Ama Dablam - the 'Matterhorn of the Khumbu'. |

This is an easy trek providing a wonderful insight into Nepalese rural life with few uphill climbs of any significance. There are many alternative routes going west. A northern route provides a trek close to the mountains of Manaslu (7945 m.), Himalchuli, Buddha Himal (6674 m.) with a side trip to Baraha Pokhari, a fine high-altitude lake. The more direct southern route to Pokhara allows a visit to the ancient town of Gorkha with its large Bazaar. This route attracts novice trekkers and walkers........... |
