The trek really starts from Chautara. Chautara is the district headquarter of Sindhupalchok District. The trek first passes through a village and then all the way it is forests. The off the beaten trails to Panch Pokhari ( five ponds) situated at 4050m. Recommends excellent hike through beautiful forests mainly bamboo, pine and other evergreen forests with glorious views of Gauri Shanker, Langtang, Dorje Lakpa, Jugal Himal. The name Pancha Pokhari is depressed from a holy lake. The snow capped mountains of Jugal Himal at sunrise and the interface with Sherpa's who live in this region makes this trek meaningful.
