These Booking Terms and Conditions contain important information. It is essential that you read them carefully and understand them. The Booking Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding contract between Skyline Treks & Expedition (P.) Ltd. and you for the services provided by Skyline Treks & Expedition (P.) Ltd. and set out the basis of your legal relationship with Skyline Treks & Expedition (P.) Ltd.

Any remaining
balance should be made on your arrival day in
Nepal. Full payment is required before trip
departure. We also reserve the right to cancel
your trip should the full amount not be paid
in time. After receiving photo copy of your
passport and the completed booking form with
your 20% non-refundable deposit we will send
you final confirmation receipt.
A bank service charge may apply and should be paid at the time of deposit.
Where possible
we will accept your last minute booking 8 days
prior to tour departure date in which case full
payment will be required at that time.
Bookings and Payments for Tibet, India and Bhutan.
(b) To make a Booking you must
send us a completed booking form with 35% non-refundable
deposit as detailed below. This will constitute
acceptance by you of these Terms and Conditions.
We require you to email or fax a copy of each
passport to our Kathmandu office on 00977-1-4212738.
All deposits required are per person per trip. Please contact us regarding direct deposit details Balance is required for all Tibet and Bhutan trips 45 days from trip departure, this is being done to ensure confirmation status on all land arrangements and air especially during the high season of (March-May, Sept-Nov) as you know Tibet and Bhutan has limited tourism Infrastructure with only one airline operating in/out of Bhutan.
2. Cancellation and Booking Changes:
(a) Cancellation must be made in writing and such notice commence from the day notice is received. Cancellation shall be valid with approval from the company after receiving documentation. The Trip shall then be termed as cancelled and a cancellation charge of 30% of the trip amount would be deducted from the advance paid.
(b) There will be no refunds if a passenger leaves a trip for any reason whatsoever, either voluntarily, involuntarily or if you commit any unlawful act after the trip has commenced. We will make no refunds for any meals, accommodation or services not used.
(c) Should you require other changes to your original tour, the person that booked the tour must submit a written document with changes required. While every effort will be made, changes cannot be guaranteed.
3. Transferring a Booking (Substitution)
If you are prevented from traveling on the tour by genuine circumstances, for example (without restriction) because of death, injury or serious illness of the passenger, close relative or friend, redundancy or jury service , you may transfer your booking to another person provided they meet all the requirements relating to that tour. You must provide proof of why you are unable to travel at the time you transfer your booking. A transfer fee of $100.00US per person if the transfer is less than four weeks before departure,
4. Passport and Visas
All clients must have a valid passport with
at least 6 months validity from return date.
Nepalese visas can be obtained from the Nepalese
Consulate in your country or on arrival in Kathmandu
Airport. As you are unable to obtain visas to
Tibet and Bhutan you need to send your passport
details to Skyline Treks & Expedition
(P.) Ltd. for visa applications for
these countries, we require this information
at least 45 days prior to departure. Nepalese
and Bhutan visa costs are the sole responsibility
of clients.
5. Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is compulsory for all Clients
undertaking any tour. It should provide adequate
protection for the full duration of the tour
to cover personal injury, death, medical expenses,
repatriation expenses, helicopter rescue, air
ambulance and adequate cover for baggage.
6.Health and Fitness
All our tours and treks require a reasonable
level of fitness, therefore you should always
check with your local GP regarding your health
and fitness before you travel. It’s the
client’s responsibility to notify Skyline
Treks & Expedition (P.) Ltd. of
any pre-existing medical condition and/or disability
that might reasonably be expected to increase
the risk of you requiring medical attention,
that may affect your ability to travel.
7. Children
A legal guardian must accompany all travelers under the age of sixteen. If you have a question regarding age and suitability, please contact Skyline Treks & Expedition (P.) Ltd. for further information.
8. Publicity
You agree that Skyline Treks & Expedition (P.) Ltd. may use images of you taken during the trip without recourse to you and without compensation to you, for publicity and promotion purposes only through whatever medium it chooses.
9. Changes to your Holiday
Traveling with Skyline Treks & Expedition
(P.) Ltd. requires a degree of flexibility,
good humor and an understanding that modes of
transport, accommodation and itineraries may
change, even after the tour has commenced, without
prior notice due to local circumstances. Skyline
Treks & Expedition (P.) Ltd. does
not accept any responsibility for loss of employment
or earnings, delays or compensation resulting
from situations beyond Skyline Treks
& Expedition (P.) Ltd. control.
We reserve the right to revise pricing rates
posted in our marketing material, under any
circumstances, or on the pressure of various
external factors that are beyond our control,
for instance changes in exchange rate, government
action etc.
10. Privacy
Skyline Treks does not transfer any information
given by the user for the use of a third party
for any purpose other than what may be necessary.
11. Risk & Liabilities
We are committed to providing the best services
which will give you a once in a life time vacation.In
this respect, we perform our duties honestly
& seriously to make your journey as smooth
& pleasant as is possible. However, all
of the programs in Nepal/Tibet/Bhutan are conducted
strictly under the rules and regulation of their
own policies.
Therefore Skyline Treks & Expedition
(P.) Ltd. and its related organization
shall not be responsible for any changes in
the itinerary due to unavoidable circumstance
such as govt. restriction, Land slide, road
blockage, flood, snow political unrest, cancellation
of flight, delay, sickness or accident, Any
extra cost incurring there of shall be borne
by the clients on the spot.
12.Complaints
Should you have a complaint about your trip
or tour, you must make it known to your tour
leader or guide at the earliest opportunity
who will then take the appropriate action to
try to rectify the situation.
