Trip Itinerary

Day 01:Arrive Delhi Upon arrival at Delhi airport met our representative and then transfer to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 02:Delhi: In the morning after breakfast visit Indian Mountaineering foundation. Here we will arrange a meeting for you with the climbing expert. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 03:Delhi – Bagdogra – Gangtok. Take morning flight from Delhi to Bagdogra. Meet our representative and drive towards Gangtok. On arrival transfer into hotel. Evening sightseeing and acclamitisation. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 04:Gangtok Sightseeing & preparation for climbing. Morning visit Tibetology, Do Drul Chorten and Rumtek Monastery. Lunch at Martham Resort. Afternoon visit Cottage Industry and local markets. Overnight at hotel.

Day 05:Gangtok – Yuksam. Today we will drive to Yuksam. The base of our trek. Dinner and overnight stay in guesthouse/tents.

Day 06:Yuksam (1785 m/5854 ft) – Tsokha (3000 m/9840 ft) (14 km/5-6 hrs) The trail from Yuksam starts at the local market and follows main road towards the north. The trail climbs gently out of the valley and hugs the right bank of the Ratong Chu River, which can be heard thundering through the gorge below. The trail crosses over four bridges to climb steeply towards north-west to the small settlement of Bakkhim. Continue for another 3 kms through forest of magnolia and rhododendron to reach Tsokha. On arrival set campsite for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 07:Tsokh – Dzongri (4030 m/13218 ft) (10 km/5-6 hrs) On this day the trail passes through the village of Tsokha and continues to climb north through the forest of rhododendron to the alp of Phedang (3650 m) taking around 3 hrs to complete the ascent. Continue further towards Dzongri. On arrival set campsite for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 08:Rest day & Acclimatise at Dzongri. The day is for rest and acclimatization. On this day one can savor views of the mountain peaks by climbing up to Dzongri Top. From here you get a panoramic view of Kabru (7353 m), Ratong (6678 m), Kanchenjanga (8534 m), Koktang (6147 m), Pandim (6691 m) and Narsingh (5825 m). Towards the west, the Singalila Ridge, which separates Sikkim from Nepal, can be seen. Dinner and overnight stay in tents.

Day 09:Trek from Dzongri to Thangsing. (3841m/5 hrs) After breakfast begin trek to Thangsing. A descent of 7 kms ends in Thangsing situated at the base of the Jopine peak at 3930m. Beautiful natural scenery can be seen all around. Overnight in tents.

Day 10:Thangsing (3841m) - Base Camp (approx. 4310m) 3 hrs. In the morning we will approach to our base camp for Mt. Thinchenkhan (6010m) Climbing. On arrival set out camp for overnight stay.

Day 11:Base camp: The day is for exploration and acclimatisation at base camp. Overnight stay.

Day 12:Base Camp (4310m) - Camp I - Base Camp (4310m) 5 hrs. Today we will approach Camp 1 and then back to base camp. Overnight stay. Day 13:Base Camp (4310m) - Camp I: 4 - 5 hrs In the morning after breakfast trek to Camp I. overnight stay.

Day 14:Extra Day: The day is for acclimatisation and exploration. Overnight stay.

Day 15:Camp I – Summit-Mt. Thinchingkhang (6010m) - Camp I: 7-8 hrs Early in the morning summit to Mt. Thingchinkhang (6010m) and later back to Camp I. overnight stay.

Day 16:Extra Day for summit Overnight stay at Camp I.

Day 17:Camp I (approx. 5510m) - Base Camp (4310 m/4-5 hrs).

Day 18:Base Camp: We will approach to Frey (5830m) and Jopuno Peak (5665m). Overnight stay.

Day 19:Base Camp – Goecha La – Thangsing (5-6 hrs). In the morning we will trek back to Thangsing via Goecha La. Overnight stay.

Day 20:Thangsing (3800m) - Tsokha (3050m) 7 hrs. Morning after breakfast trek to reach Tsokha. It will take near about 5 - 6 hrs. The trek winds its way down up to Phedang, the start of the Rhododendron trail. Overnight stay in trekkers hut / tents.

Day 21:Tsokha (3050m) - Yuksam (1780m) 6 hrs Today you descend to the Prek Chu following the route you took up on the first day, and then contour gradually downwards to reach the village of Yuksam our starting point.

Day 22:Yuksam – Darjeeling: Morning after breakfast drive to Darjeeling. On arrival check in to hotel. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 23:Darjeeling - Tiger Hill (Full day sightseeing) Early morning drive to Tiger Hill to for a singular experience of the first rays of the sun bathing the Himalayas. On the return visit the Ghoom Monastery. Built in 1875 the monastery which follows the Gelugpa sect, houses one of the largest statue of the Maitreya Buddha-“the future Buddha”.

After breakfast drive to Darjeeling Railway Station (10 mins) and take the joyride on the famous heritage toy train till Ghoom. On arrival at Ghoom Railway station transfer to your vehicle and visit The Himalayan Zoo which houses the Himalayan fauna like the Red Panda, black bear, yaks, tigers, snow leopard etc. in their natural habitat, and the adjacent Himalayan Mountaineering Institute - a premier training centre for mountaineers and a museum detailing the ascent of the Mt. Everest by Tenzing Sherpa & Sir Edmund Hillary and numerous other expeditions. Also visit Tibetan Self Help Centre, a centre of training young people in the intricate art of Tibetan handicrafts and handlooms. The sales emporium is open to visitors to pick up souvenirs. Overnight Hotel.

Day 24:Darjeeling – Bagdogra - Delhi (123 kms / 6-7 hrs) In the morning after breakfast drive to Bagdogra and from here take a flight for New Delhi. On arrival at Delhi transfer to hotel. Overnight stay.

Day 25:Delhi Departure Transfer to international to catch onwards flight accordingly to your flight. Trip and Services Ends Here

Full Service Cost Includes:

• Accommodation: Hotel/Guest House at Delhi, Gangtok, Darjeeling & Yuksam. While on trek we will provide you ome/Alpine trekking tents on twin sharing basis. Sleeping bag, Camping mattresses, camping stool etc would be provided.
• Transport: Toyota Qualis/Tata Sumo from Bagdogra – Trek point and back to Bagdogra. Also transfer in Delhi.
• Meals: In Delhi, Gangtok and Darjeeling only breakfast will serve. While on trek, all meal. Meals will be freshly prepared and will be a mix of Indian, Chinese & Continental.
• Yaks/Porters: For carrying camping equipment, rations, vegetables and some amount of personal gear of the clients (one bag not weighing more than 15 kgs).
• Professional local trekking guide and kitchen staff would accompany the group.
• Entry fee and permit etc

• Any charges for carrying still/video cameras etc.
• Alcohol, soft drinks, bottled water, beverages, etc.
• Personal expenses like tips, telephone calls, laundry, etc.
• Any meals/services not mentioned above and Travel insurance.
• Any costs arising out of unforeseen circumstances like landslides, road blocks, bad weather, etc.
