There is an elixir expression that has been around for centuries. “An apple a day keeps the doctor away”. Although this could to remain true at the cities, it is infinite different up here in the Nepal Himalayas. The magic liquid of water that keeps most health issues at natural harbor. In the form of trek leader, I let know trekkers to drink more than 5 liters of water a day mainly when they are likely to have of Diamox. Sorry to say, most trekkers do not drink the necessary water, for the easy cause that it is not handy to get the water bottle out each few minutes.

For the reason what could be the option?
Hydration packs.

In the recent years we have reason out, hydration packs have been growing popularity in the development of Nepal trekking. However it is still a negligible number that applies the hydration packs, maybe 40-50 per cent of the trekkers. Though, we would strongly give guidance to the entire trekkers to make use of a hydration pack and not only water bottles.

We give details to the trekkers why.

We’ve point out some reasons why a system of hydration works truly fine in the mountains, if you are trekking for a day or for days together.

1. Ease
An easy access is only accessible by a hydration method. It lets trekkers to drink on the go without having to reach out for your water bottle or asking your friend to help you get it out. Most new packs are well-matched with hydration packs. They either have a separate fragment for the hydration bladder and a small opening on the side or at the back, which generally reads “H2O” for the pipe to come through. This pipe widens to trekkers shoulder and one can keep himself hydrated while hiking.

2. Health causes.
Keeping the trekkers hydrated is the prime health cause of using a hydration pack. As we revealed before, water is equivalent to medicine on a high altitude trek. And nipping out of a straw that is balanced around trekkers head will keep them hydrated even if trekkers like it or not. Water will keep trekkers away from all kinds of altitude sickness, and a hydration pack is a lucky thing in concealing outfit to keep trekkers drinking water. One more thing we’ve note down is that while drinking from water bottles, trekkers lean to consume down a lot of water at once. This can cause muzzle reactions. Moreover, a dashing feeling in the stomach is not a pleasing sensation while on the trek. Nipping water at usual breaks is the most excellent way to avoid this from happening. Thus, that theory for trekkers health cause absolutely well through a hydration system.

3. Helps to maintain pace
We recommend trekkers to use a firm system called “Microsteps,” where you strive to get your breath into a certain pace. Through Microsteps, trekkers won’t have to discontinue every now and then getting their breath back. However, trekkers are stopping to drink water from water bottle complications with that pace. Without stopping a hydration bladder still, permits the trekkers to drink on the go.

4. Hands free trekking.
At all times we are asking to our trekkers to keep at least one hand free, assuming that they are with a trek pole. However most of the trekkers inclined to bring their water bottles in their hand, ever since it is more trouble-free, than to stop, reach out to any sides of the backpack to get the bottle out, take off, drink, put the cap back on, and then put the bottle away. Such manner puts trekkers in spoiling way, as even small fall can be critical. Including a hydration pack keeps trekkers hands free – one for a trekking pole and the other hand for, healthy, choice.

5. Balance and weight sharing for backpack.
If trekkers are carrying 2 bottles of 1 liter on either side of the backpack equally out weight on the backpack. But it is always prudent to bear heavier weight on your back and not the sides. Because water is intense, it should perfectly be carried on your back so that it puts balance and the same weight sharing for trekkers backpack.

2. While on a trek hydration bladders are especially valuable, they have some limits as well:
1. In extremely cold weather situation hydration packs are hard to use. The water in the pipeline sometimes freezes making it impossible to drink.

2. While on the trekking trail, hydration packs are harder to fill up. If to check, how much water is actually left in the hydration pack in that condition it is not easy.

3. Carrying hydration packs around at tea-houses and lodges during dinner, lunch or breakfast doesn’t make sense. Especially since trekkers backpack won’t be on them. Water bottles would be a superior fitting for tea-houses usage.

4. Hydration packs need extreme care cleaning to keep away from germs so it is harder to preserve.

3. Advice from Skyline treks.

If you’re thinking to go on a high altitude trek in the region of Nepal Himalayas then you should carry one hydration reservoir (1-2 liter) and also a liter of bottle. This may be the wonderful arrangement, trouble-free for the trek and for utilization at tea-houses or lodges.

If you need any more thoughts regards your Nepal trek or advantage and imperative of hydration pack while on trekking then, do let us know in our company Website. We vouchsafe to our clients all our prior experience.
