The Tamang Heritage Trail delves into the historical significance of the Langtang region, where Nepal once engaged in a conflict with Tibet primarily over salt trade about 150 years ago. This region, home to the third most popular trekking trails in Nepal, has long been a thoroughfare for traders from Tibet exchanging salt and mountain goats for foodstuffs from the south. Spearheaded by the Tourism for Rural Poverty Alleviation Program, this trail, known as "The Tamang Heritage Trail," introduces trekkers to an off-the-beaten-path experience, combining the ancient lifestyle of the Tamang people with breathtaking natural landscapes.

The demographic composition of this area is largely dominated by the Tamang community, although historically, many inhabitants were Tibetans who migrated from across the border and settled in the Langtang region. Initially, obtaining Nepali citizenship was challenging for these Tibetans, leading them to adopt the Tamang ethnicity. Nevertheless, their culture and traditions bear striking similarities to Tibetan customs.

Day 01: Arrival at Tribhuban International Airport (T.I.A) and pick up by our private vehicle and than transfer to the Hotel
Day 02: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabru besi (8 hours) and overnight in tea house.(B,L,D)
Day 03: Syabru besi trek to Gatlang (5 hrs) and overnight in community lodge (B, L, D)
Day 04: Gatlang trek to Tatopani (6-7 hrs) and overnight in community lodge.(B, L, D)
Day 05: Tatopani trek to Thuman (6 hrs) and overnight in community lodge (B, L, D)
Day 06: Thuman trek to Briddim (6 hrs) and overnight in local home.(B, L, D)
Day 07: Briddim trek to Lama hotel (6 hrs) and overnight in teahouse (B, L, D)
Day 08: Lama hotel trek to Langtang (6hrs) and overnight in teahouse (B, L, D)
Day 09: Langtang trek to Kanjin (4 hrs) and overnight in teahouse (B, L, D)
Day 10: Kanjin rest day and hike to Langsisa Kharka or Glacier langtang –lirung or hike to Tsherko ri (5000M) (B, L, D)
Day 11: Kanjin trek to Lama hotel (6 hours) (B, L, D)
Day 12: Lama hotel trek to Thulosyabru (5-6 hours) (B, L, D)
Day 13: Thulosyabru trek to Dhunche 5 hours (B, L, D)
Day 14: Dhunche drive to Kathmandu (6-7 hours) (B,L)
