The Kanchenjunga Base Camp trek is one of the most remarkable treks in Nepal, offering breathtaking views of the world's third-highest peak, Kanchenjunga, which stands at 8,586 meters. This trek is less crowded compared to the more popular Everest and Annapurna regions, providing a more remote and serene trekking experience.

Kanchenjunga Base camp short trekking itinerary
Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu airport (1,335m) and transfer to hotel.
Day 02: Free day or Sightseeing, This day is required to make a Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek Special permit with your original passport.
Day 03: Flight from Kathmandu to Bhadrapur and Drive to Ilam Bazaar/Kanyam tea garden. Enjoy the view of the beautiful tea garden. Stay at the hotel.
Day 04: Drive to Khebang. Stay at the tea house.
Day 05: Trek to Yamphudin (Sherpa gaon). Stay at the tea house.
Day 06: Trek to Tortong 2,980m (This is a hard day to climb most uphill). Stay at the tea house.
Day 07: Trek to Tseram 3,870m. Stay at the tea house.
Day 08: Trek to Ramche 4,610m. Stay at the tea house.
Day 09: Hiking to Okhtang (4,810m) (Kanchenjunga South Base Camp). Enjoy spectacular views of Mt Kanchenjunga Himalayan range, Khambachen Peak, Kabru Himalayan Range, and Rathong Peak. As well as Yalung Glacier, Glacial lakes, Wildlife, Blue sheep, etc. Trek back to Tseram (3,870m).
Day 10: Trek back to Lasiya Bhanjyang. Stay at the tea house.
Day 11: Trek back to Yamphuding (Sherpa gaon). Stay at the teahouse.
Day 12: Trek back to Khebang. Stay at the tea house.
Day 13: Drive to Ilam Bazaar. Stay at hotel
Day 14: Drive to Bhadrapur and fly to Kathmandu. Transfer to hotel.
Day 15: Final Departure to the Airport

Kanchenjunga Base Camp Short trek was a dream! The trail took us through remote villages and lush valleys, and the views of Kanchenjunga itself were worth every step. I loved every moment of the Kanchenjunga Base Camp Short Trek! This area feels like the untouched Nepal that’s harder to find these days. The Kanchenjunga Base Camp Short Trek was beyond incredible. The landscapes were some of the most untouched and pristine I’ve seen in Nepal. It was a bit remote, but that added to the adventure.
