Sherpani Col Amphulapcha Trek - is a most challenging pass trek through the tranquil and untouched route to the Makalu trek region. On the altitude of 6135m at Sherpani col which is the remote and less crowed tourist area of Makalu region. It is suitable for those who seek the adventurous and challenging trekking trail in the tranquil and undamaged Himalayan region. It gives the experience of crossing high pass which requires the knowledge of climbing for how to fix rope, use of hammer, ice-shock and crampon, setting the climbing equipments, knowledge of safety and strong physical fitness. In this trek you see the excellent view of the Mt. Makalu (8463m.), Mt Everest (8848m.), Mt. Lhotse 8416m, Mt. Pumori, Mt. Amadablam, Mt. Nuptse, Baruntse and Kanchenjunga etc. This trekking region is protected by Makalu Barun National Park. In this trek, trekkers can explore the varieties of flora and fauna, culture of the ethnic people.
The Sherpani col Amphulaptsa Pass Trek difficult trekking trail which takes trekkers through the Nepal’s most difficult cliff passes like -Sherpani Col, West Col and Amphu Lapcha La Pass. This trek begins Tumlingtar and follows the beautiful Arun river valley through the Makalu Barun National park. Arun valley is the deepest valley of the world which is the haven of more than 800 species of birds. Here you also find the rare bird Spiny Babler which is only found in Nepal. During the trek you can encounter the rare red panda, musk deer, ghoral, Himalayan Tahr and leopard in the Makalu Barun National Park. Trekking in Nepal gives the lifetime memory to the trekkers. During the winter season this region receives heavy snow fall and there is the risk of avalanche. So the best time to go for the Sherpani col Amphulaptsa Pass Trek is from March to May and September to December.
