Since Skyline treks opened  trekking to everest base camp for October , we have often asked about the selection for  October as the start of everest base camp trekking. Sanjay explains the choice of dates for everest base camp treks nepal. Let me spell out a little, for any season Everest base camp trek is an imposing trek in Nepal of Khumbu region. And everest base camp trekking nepal is open for trekking for more months in the year than our other treks, like Annapurna base camp or Annapurna high pass trek. The special factors affecting thing about mid June attempt on the Everest base camp trek is dollop of  snow and surprising atmosphere. The thick blanket of snow that you will tread on everest base camp trekking route makes you cool and gives amazing hiking experience in the snow.

However, Everest base camp trek is a trip  that starts after crossing the valley and stopovers that way up to the very end, when trekkers descend at Goraksheb. Goraksheb, the last small valley pronounces big amount of snow. Even on Day first from Lukla to Phakding, in October, trekkers will find the first parcel of snow, covering the sides of the valley.

On Day second, as trekkers rise through Phakding to Namche Bazaar, the trail surrounded by dense forest roofed by snow, the snow patches found growing. The snows are in all places and almost instantly, trekkers knock the first snow bridge over  Jorselle village. The same day while trekkers stay at Namche with an elevation of 3,400 meters, the temperature drops due to snow piles rising all around the tea houses. For trekkers next day’s adventure of The Everest base camp trek they take acclimatization climbs on the snow covered Syangboche hill at 3,800 meters this make perfect workout.

The next morning, just trekkers move out, gradually the renowned Namche Bazaar goes over trekkers-bypassing a large hill with lots of up and down, hiking over the  bouncing Snow Bridge leads to the nice valley of Tengboche at 3,867 meters. The valley is popular for Buddhist Tengboche monastery and delightful views of Mt. Everest along with many big and small mountains that can be seen as closely as possible.

The next few hours of trek from Tengboche to Dingboche, the biggest valley in Khumbu region at 4500 meters is completely in a snow trail that widens throughout. One more day of acclimatization climbs is imperative at Dingboche wherein trekkers rise to the snowy hill of Chhukung at 4,900 meters. Climbing the high elevation of Chhukung RI is demanding but worth, resulting trekkers can easily make everest base camp and kala patthar trekking . After the wonderful two days stay at Dingboche trekkers continue for Lobuche at 4,900 meters, and the afterward meet with Goraksheb, the last valley of Khumbu at 5,180 meters which is based on the towering of Kala Patthar.

Once arrived at Goraksheb, crossing boulders and snow patches trails trekkers finally take a sigh at 5,364 meters of Everest Base Camp where the firm snowy setting is all over the base camp. After getting success from himalaya trekking everest  base camp, trekkers make an attempt toward steep roof shed snow of Kala Patthar at 5,545 meters and sight the ponytail of Mt. Everest that bathes through the golden light of sun. The next day, the downward is again on snow, over heaps of moraine. The trail turns an even open valley. Generally, the sides of the valley are steep to hike and trekkers have to descend to the snow at the valley base to maintain their fall.

Crossing glaciers and snow patches, the trail lastly come to an end at Lukla airport and next morning by a scenic flight back to Kathmandu.
