A wonderful trek off the beaten path, filled with wonderful scenery and ethnic Nepali cultural experience. You make your way through forests filled with rhododendron blooms during spring season. A riot of red, white and pink blooms surround you that will make you feel as if you are in paradise. As this is a new trail, you can look ahead to a peaceful and serene experience, devoid of the usual 'trekking crowd'. The trail leads to three of the holy mountain lakes - Gosainkunda, Saraswatikunda and Bhairabkunda. These lakes are sacred to the Hindus and during the full moon day in July, many Hindu pilgrims flock to Gosainkunda to take a purifying ritual bath.The breathtaking and panoramic views of Ganesh Himal, Manaslu, Himchuli, Langtang Lirung and a few Tibetan peaks remain within your view throughout the trek.
Langtang Sacred Lake Trekking Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival at Tribhuban International Airport (T.I.A.) and pick up by our private vehicle and transfer to the Hotel.
Day 02: Full day guided sightseeing in Pashupatinath, Boudhanath and Patan Durbar Square. (B)
Day 03: Kathmandu - Nuwakot at (‘1200 m. 3’937 ft.) (B, L, D)
Day 04: Nuwakot - Badahare at (1’250 m. 4’101 ft.) about 8 hours Trek (B, L, D)
Day 05: Badahare - Betang at (2’250 m. 7’381 ft.) about 7 hours Trek (B, L, D)
Day 06: Betang - Lapung at (3’300 m. 10’826 ft.) about 8 hours Trek (B, L, D)
Day 07: Lapung - Chodang Kharka at (3’850 m. 12’631 ft.) about 8 hours Trek (B, L, D)
Day 08: Rest day in Chodang Kharka (B, L, D)
Day 09: Chodang kharka - Jumacho Kharka at (4’100 m. 13’451 ft.) about 7 hours Trek (B, L, D)
Day 10: Jumacho Kharka - Gosainkund at (4’381m. 14’373 ft.) about 7 hours Trek (B, L, D)
Day 11: Gosainkunda - Sing Gompa at (3’254 m. 10’675 ft.) about 7 hours Trek (B, L, D)
Day 12: Sing Gompa - Dhunche about 4 hours trek (B, L, D)
Day 13: Drive from Dhunche to Kathmandu about 8 hours by bus. And check in Hotel (B, L)
Day 14: Final Departure to the Airport by our private vehicle. (B)
Arrival at Tribhuban International Airport (T.I.A.) and pick up by our private vehicle and transfer to the Hotel.
