The Jhomolhari Base Camp and Yaksa Trek is one of the most popular treks and a favorable with trekkers. It is a truly amazing trek admits the beauty of the Himalayas that leaves one with an ultimate satisfaction and fulfillment.
The trek starts off from the shell of Drugyal Dzong, following a river at 2500 meters to an altitude of 4820 meters at Yalila Pass.
The Jhomolhari Trekking is consider as Bhutan's most spectacular trek and it offers fabulous views of the 7314m JHOMOLHARI, JECHU DARKEY (6989m) and TSHERIM GANG (6789m).
The Jhomolhari Trek passes through spread hamlets and farmland into a deep and richly forested valley, which leads to a high alpine pastureland where yak herders scrape their animals.
The Jhomolhari Trek offers a sampling of the diverse variety of the Bhutanese landscape. The best seasons to roam around are April to June and September to November.
