Phari Lapcha Peak (6017m) is one of the most popular trekking peak climbing of Khumbu region at an elevation of 6017m of Mahalangur Himalayan Range. It rises from yak pastures above the village in a uniform slope to the final summit pyramid which is an undistinguished snow and ice slope. The peak looked a little more interesting from Ogre and can been seen as a curved ridge, with the face above Pisang being the truncated southern end of the mountain. Phari Laptsa offers panoramic views of Himalayan peaks i.e. Everest (8850), Nuptse (7879m), Lhotse (9501m), Makalu (8475m), Baruntse (7720m) and Ama Dablam (6856m) etc. 

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport, meet our staff & transfers to Hotel.

Day 02: Early morning 40 minutes fly to Lukla 2840m and commence trek to Phakding 2610m. O/N Lodge. (B, L, D)

Day 03: Phakding - Namche Bazaar. O/N at Teahouse Lodge.(B, L, D)

Day 04: Rest day for acclimatization.(B, L, D)

Day 05: Namche Bazaar - Dole 4200m.(B, L, D)

Day 06: Dole - Machhermo 4470m.(B, L, D)

Day 07: Machhermo - Gokyo Lake (4,750m.)(B, L, D)

Day 08: Ascent of Gokyo Ri (5483m.) and back to Gokyo Lake.(B, L, D)

Day 09: Gokyo Lake (5483m), - Phari Lapcha Base Camp.(B, L, D)

Day 10: Set up High Camp.(B, L, D)

Day 11: Phari Lapcha 6017m. summit north face & decent to Gokyo.(B, L, D)

Day 12: Gokyo Lake - Dole.(B, L, D)

Day 13: Dole - Namche Bazaar. O/N at Teahouse Lodge.(B, L, D)

Day 14: Namche - Lukla and transfer to Hotel.(B, L, D)

Cost Includes:

  • Personal equipment sleeping bag, Down jacket, waterproof jacket, kit bag etc. (you can rent them in Kathmandu at a cost of US$ 1 per item for day)
  • Equipment allowance (Legally each expedition must provide an equipment allowance for all Sherpa guides and porters. This allowance is necessary for brand new equipment (sleeping bag, shoes, crampons, down jacket, raincoat etc.). Because this expedition is not a high altitude expedition we will negotiate with the guides and porters to obtain an acceptable agreement for this allowance. Nevertheless the contribution of each participant will be around US$ 170.00
  • Travel / medical insurance and emergency evacuation cost
  • Personal expenses such as laundry, telephone calls, alcoholic beverages, bottled drinks (including cold drinks and mineral water), tips etc.
